When you use The Angler Hub, we collect:

  • Account information (username, email)
  • Fish catch details and photos you submit
  • Device information and IP addresses
  • If you use chat: the content of messages you send, and who you send them to
  • If you add them: your public profile description, website, and social media links
  • Friend connections and any accounts you have blocked

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Maintain and improve the leaderboard service
  • Verify fish catch submissions
  • Provide community features such as chat, friends, and public profiles
  • Send important notifications about your catches, achievements, and messages
  • Prevent fraud and abuse

3. Chat and Public Profile Content

  • Chat messages are stored so the chat feature can function (delivering messages, showing history, read receipts) and are visible to the participants of that conversation.
  • We do not proactively monitor or read chat messages. Message content may be reviewed by moderators if a conversation is reported for abuse or a violation of our Terms and Conditions, or where required by law.
  • Your public profile description and social/website links, if you choose to add them, are shown to anyone who views your profile — do not include information you do not want to be public. We are not responsible for content on external sites you link to.
  • Blocking another user prevents them from messaging you or sending friend requests; we retain a record that the block exists so it can be enforced.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Public leaderboard displays (catch details and username only)
  • Your public profile, if you have added a description or social links, and any content you submit to features visible to other users (chat, friend requests)
  • When required by law
  • With your explicit consent

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data (including chat messages and profile content), and export your data.
