Terms and Conditions

Welcome to The Angler Hub, a community-driven platform for recording and sharing catches from Call of the Wild: The Angler. By using this app, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Submission Guidelines

Users may submit catches without creating an account, but must provide a valid in-game username.

The username you submit must exactly match the in-game username shown in the catch screenshot/photo. Submissions whose stated username does not match the username visible in the accompanying screenshot may be rejected, as they cannot be verified as your own catch.

Anonymous submissions. You may submit a catch without an account. When you do, we do not collect an account identity and therefore cannot individually record who submitted it. By submitting a catch — with or without an account — you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy in force at the time of submission, and that the content you submit complies with them. We may still moderate, reject, or remove anonymous submissions under these Terms.

Required data for each catch:

  • Screenshot or photo with visible summary (time, temperature, rank, fish type, username)
  • Reserve name
  • Fish species
  • Fish rank
  • Weight and length

All other fields are optional. All submissions undergo manual review before appearing on the leaderboard.

2. Accounts and Features

  • Users may create an account to track personal catches, earn XP and achievements, and access community features, including direct/group chat and a customizable public profile.
  • Account creation is optional but recommended.

3. Community Features: Chat and Public Profile

Accounts can add friends and chat with them directly. Accounts that reach the required level also unlock an editable public profile (a short description and links to your own website or social media accounts).

  • Chat is provided so anglers can talk to each other about the game, catches, and the community. It must not be used to solicit, advertise, or promote anything unrelated to that purpose.
  • We do not actively monitor, read, or moderate the content of private or group chat messages. Chat is a tool for user-to-user communication, not a broadcast or publishing feature, and we have no obligation to review it. We may access message content when investigating a report of abuse, harassment, or another violation of these Terms, or where required by law.
  • Every user can block and report another user directly from the app. Reported conduct that violates these Terms may result in the removal of the offending content, suspension, or a permanent ban, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
  • Your public profile description and social/website links are visible to anyone who views your profile. Do not include offensive language, private or personal information, links to malicious/illegal/adult content, or impersonation of another person or brand.
  • Linked external websites and social media profiles are controlled by you, the user. We do not review, endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, availability, or safety of any external site you link.
  • The same offensive-content, child-safety, and enforcement rules that apply to catch submissions apply equally to chat messages and public profile content.

4. Prohibited Content and Behavior

  • No explicit, violent, or unrelated images
  • No offensive or inappropriate language in usernames, catch submissions, chat messages, or profile content
  • No fake, duplicate, or misleading catch data
  • No spam, self-promotion, harassment, or exploitation, in submissions or in chat
  • No manipulation of leaderboards or moderation bypassing
  • Violations may result in permanent bans and content deletion

5. Content Ownership and Usage

  • By submitting content, you grant The Angler Hub the right to display, modify, and use it within the app and promotional materials.
  • You retain ownership but must not submit copyrighted or third-party material without permission.

6. Moderation and Enforcement

  • All catch submissions are subject to review.
  • Moderators may reject or remove content, including chat messages and profile content, that violates these terms.
  • Moderator decisions are final.

7. Child-Safe Environment

  • All content must be appropriate for all ages.
  • Child-safe language is required in all user inputs, including chat messages and profile content.

8. No Affiliation Disclaimer

This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Avalanche Studios or Call of the Wild: The Angler. All trademarks and game content belong to their respective owners.
